Snow Art

Hey! I hope everyone is doing well. Did you all survive Snowzilla? We did and the snow ended up being AN AWESOME OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE. We did a little sledding and watching my husband shovel (hahaha… Love you!). We also did a toddler oriented activity that my little firecracker just 💜ed. But I can’t take all of the credit, it was my neighbors idea… SNOW ART!

Supplies

  1. Food Coloring
  2. Water
  3. Spray bottle
  4. Snow

Directions

  1. Mix 1 tube of food coloring with water in spray bottle.
  2. Go outside in the snow and spray away! (Make sure to be properly bundled up!)

Recommendations

  • Use the Neon version of the McCormick food coloring, my neighbor used the regular colors and her artwork did not turn out quite as vivid (it does not have to be the McCormick brand, we used this because it is what we had) img_2644

I also attempted to write my daughters name lol BUT my dexterity with that is still under construction.

But I did make these masterpieces 😂😂

The best part of this activity is the colors eventually fade and the snow turns back white. Soooooo, you can do this activity day after day after day after day lol. Did you all do anything “non-traditional” with the snow? Did you go sledding? Snowboarding? Etc? Tell me how you survived Jonas aka Snowzilla. 😊

And if you try this activity or any other art activity make sure to share your master pieces with my Facebook Page!
