Quick Tip For Running Errands

Tips, life hack, errands

Hello!  I will not be long today… I just wanted to provide a quick tip…. A nice parenting hack…
A little outdoor outing tip or trick is the ‘Mini-Zoo.”  In my neighborhood, our Target and Petsmart are in the same shopping center, which actually turns out to be awesome!!! I will admit sometimes that I “bribe” my daughter into behaving good in Target by promising to go by our “Mini-Zoo” for a visit aka Petsmart. Our “Mini-Zoo” consists of looking at fish, birds, turtles, geckos, and cats.  (Or you could just show up to Petsmart as an outdoor outing).

Luckily for me, she has no idea that the concept behind Petsmart is to buy the animals and bring them home, so she never asks to take one.  But, it really works to keep her calm and it gives us something to talk about on the way home!!! She especially loves to look at the turtles and fish.  But seriously, I can NOT be the only parent that has done this… please share any tips that you have for surviving running errands or just to keep your little one entertained during the day.

  1. Love this idea, it is free and fast! Just right for getting in an outing with your little guy and some errands done too. Smart 🙂

  2. This is brilliant! (Sadly we have no pet stores nearby.) My problem is that my kids love shopping and being out waaaay more than I do. I would probably have to buy an animal to bribe my kids to go back home! 😀 I do wonder if it works to make husbands behave in public though? Must try something similar!

    1. My kids love being out and about too! I try to avoid the public 😂 I also sometimes uses the toy section as a quick playtime and say the toys are here to stay and we can play with them while we are at the store! 🙈
